The package that a week or two ago was installed as chinese-font-metrics under fonts/ has had its identifier changed as well as its location. This is an updated version of chinese-font-metrics. The new package name should be zhmetrics as Karl suggested. It should be located in /fonts/metrics rather than /fonts. The directories are reorganized to meet the TDS standard.

zhmetrics – TFM subfont files for using Chinese fonts in 8-bit

These are metrics to use existing Chinese TrueType fonts in workflows that use & dvipdfmx, or pdf. The fonts themselves are not included in the package.

Six font families are supported: kai, song, lishu, fangsong, youyuan and hei. Two encodings (GBK and UTF-8) are supported.
